RVi Group, China Daily Asia Pacific and RVIPS Lead Sponsorship of 2026 Luang Prabang Half Marathon

The RVi Group, together with China Daily Asia Pacific and RVIPS, proudly served as Lead Sponsors of the 2026 Run for Children Luang Prabang Half Marathon, part of the Run With History initiative. The event brought together more than 3,000 runners from over 50 countries and regions in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang.

The 2026 event achieved record-breaking participation, welcoming runners across the 21 km, 14 km and 7 km race categories. Starting before dawn outside the historic Royal Palace, participants filled the ancient streets in a vibrant celebration of sport, cultural heritage and community spirit.

🏃🏻‍♂️More than a race, the event was a run for a greater purpose. Proceeds support Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC), the country’s only free paediatric teaching hospital, providing essential healthcare to children regardless of their families’ financial circumstances.

For the RVi Group and RVIPS, this mission closely aligns with their commitment to education, children’s well-being and community development.

“Just as every child deserves access to world-class education, we believe every child also deserves access to quality healthcare. Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship — it is about nurturing healthier, stronger communities for the future.”

🏆Through its involvement in Run With History events in Luang Prabang, Bagan in Myanmar and Ayutthaya in Thailand, the RVi Group continues to champion Southeast Asia’s cultural heritage, sustainable tourism and regional collaboration.

This year’s event also carried special significance as Laos and China celebrate 65 years of diplomatic relations during the 2026 Laos-China Friendship Year.

The RVi Group extends its sincere appreciation to Lao Friends Hospital for Children, China Daily Asia Pacific, the organisers, volunteers and all participants who contributed to this successful event.

🏃🏻‍♂️Every step counts, every runner matters, and every child deserves a brighter future.

Together, we continue to move forward — supporting healthier communities, preserving cultural heritage and creating brighter futures for the next generation.
